This village, located in the foothills of the Krkonose Mountains, is overlooked by a castle of the same name. Originally a Gothic structure, the castle was rebuilt in the 16th century as a Renaissance chateau. The most prominent owner of this monument was Krystof Harant of Polzice and Bezdruzice. Every other year in June, the Harant Historical Song Festival, an international Renaissance music festival, is held in the chateau in honour of Krystof Harant. The village's other notable relics include the Church of St Bartholomew, a plague column on the square dating from 1720 and an early Baroque fountain. In addition to several burghers' houses dating from the mid-19th century, a host of timber cottages have survived in the village. Pecka is a very popular destination because of its hiking trails and is a favourite recreational resort frequented both in the summer and winter.
